Total Makeover

My mom's kitchen it getting a total and complete makeover. Her style is very contemporary - more so than mine. She's always on the cutting edge of design. Check out her design and what she's doing to her kitchen and living room. Right now, her whole kitchen has been completely gutted. Here are some pictures of what she's ordered:

2 Pendant Crystal Lights will be hanging above the island. I know, I know, my mom and I would rather have 3, but there are technical difficulties. Because of the spacing of the sky lights, alas, we can only have two. This completely bothers me - but I'll get over it.

The island countertop will be Aspen White Polished as shown in the pictures below

Here is a sample of the tile that will be placed on the back splash. It's a Multi Gray Bullet Mosaic Honed. The picture doesn't really do it justice.

Within this kitchen, i believe my mom's cabinets with be about this shade and the same look, including the handles on the cabinets. Also, the countertops surrounding the island will be about this dark.

This is the Milan Sofa set my mom has picked out for her living room. It's a white leather sofa and love seat.

So, that's just a glimpse of what my mom is doing. When I know more or when things are coming along with her kitchen and living room I'll begin to post some pictures.
